Job Description:

As a ED/Surgery Clinical Consultant, for the Federal team, you will partner with Cerner client clinical stakeholders and leaders to form relationships and holistically impact client clinical performance, satisfaction, and clinical and business outcomes during project engagements. Using your clinical knowledge and experience, you will provide clinical guidance and expertise to clients and internal project teams; consult and collaborate with clients to design optimal clinical workflows; and facilitate the analysis of current state, future state, and gap analysis with an emphasis on understanding the change impact and recommending strategies to prepare for adoption of the change. This position will manage and own the client’s value measurement plan; support the engagement management team in ensuring project deliverables and timelines are met in order to deliver value to the client as committed; lead client meetings and facilitate discussions around clinical alignment and adoption of technology; and cultivate client relationships to achieve business outcomes.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Studies, Health Care, or related field of study or equivalent, relevant work experience

  • At least 5 years of licensed, clinical or health care work experience

  • Registered Nurse licensure

  • Receipt of the appropriate government security clearance card applicable for your position

  • Due to the client contract you will be assigned, this position requires you to be a U.S. citizen

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of health care information technology, project management, sales or consulting work experience

  • At least 4 years of people management work experience

Expectations

  • Willing to travel up to 60-80% as needed

  • Must currently reside in the Kansas City area or live within 60 miles of a Cerner virtually approved city

  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations

  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position

  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned
