Advanced ICU Care Regional Medical Director in St. Louis, Missouri

The RMD’s principal responsibility is serving as a clinical leader in working with hospital clients to build relationships and promoting satisfaction and retention. This must be carried out in a collaborative and unifying fashion with consideration given to our multiple clients, operations centers, and our internal clinical and business goals and objectives. This position will also work a few shifts in our Tele-ICU in one of our Operations Centers located in Manhattan, NY, Bethesda, MD, Houston, TX, or St. Louis, MO.

Key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Provide support to activities that are coordinated during the kickoff and implementation as scheduled by the Project Manager and Clinical Account Managers. Includes presenting the clinical program, developing clinical protocols and workflows as necessary, participating in executive breakout sessions and leading/supporting other physician breakout sessions

  • Present results through Quarterly Performance Reviews and Annual Executive reviews, discuss clinical or operational enhancement opportunities and attend any committee meetings on site or via teleconference

  • Meet with key physician leaders and physician groups in order to build a solid working relationship between the two entities to ensure retention and ongoing partnership

  • Ensure availability to Client Services team, Sales team and other company staff to help ensure the highest level of clients satisfaction while maintaining client accounts

  • Participate in ongoing clinical protocol developments as needed/requested by clients

  • Participate in internal RMD meetings to promote best practices, develop guidelines, review learnings

  • Participate in sales support to include potential client meetings, phone calls etc

  • Review and resolve client-based queries/complaints on clinical management

  • Travel 50%

  • Provide Tele-ICU Clinical shift services from our ops centers in order to have good working knowledge of our systems

Requirements for this position are:

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Medicine

  • Current Board Certification in Critical Care Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Anesthesia, or the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine, or Anesthesia.

  • 3+ years of medical director leadership experience

  • Prior critical care practice experience

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills; results and decisive orientation; demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills; demonstrated willingness and ability to integrate clinical and business objectives; unifying and winning personality

  • Current knowledge of best practices and external regulatory body requirements related to critical care medicine

  • Technology savvy
