Aerotek Patient Access Representative in St. Louis, Missouri
Description:
Mercy's centralized Patient Access team needs to add 5 reps to their team in STL.
These candidates will be responsible for scheduling all modalities for 6 area hospitals and various offsite locations, taking incoming referrals, handling registration, verifying insurance coverage, and collecting up front patient financial portions.
Candidates MUST be comfortable having direct financial conversations with patients. If a patient cannot pay up front their are payment plan and reduction options, but up front collection is a metric used to measure performance.

Many of the people hired have had issues with being monitored all day every day. Our people need to understand that they need to be logged in and productive at all times outside of the scheduled breaks and lunch.
This is a very fast-paced & demanding job that requires a strong person.
Most people from other agencies don't last 6 months. People have tried to use this as the foot in the door just to get to other positions, but don't work in the role long enough to be considered for transfers or promotions. Normally Mercy required a year of tenure in to get promoted or transferred.
People need to ask for help when they struggle. They are more than willing to give people extra attention and training, but recently they have had people just quit instead of asking for help.
