SSM Health Monitor Technician in St. Louis, Missouri

Role Purpose:

This position continuously monitors telemetry patients from initiation of order to

discontinuation of order and communicates changes/concerns to designated staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Contributes to exceptional patient safety by continuously evaluating patients' cardiac status by use of telemetry monitoring and notifying appropriate staff of changes or concerns, or calling rapid response team as measured by zero sentinel events.

  • Contributes to employee satisfaction by creating a positive work environment through proactive and customer-friendly communication to nursing staff in various units and with team members as measured by employee partnership survey scores.

  • Contributes to the overall financial performance of the department through efficient change of shift report as measured by productivity measures.

  • Contributes to physician satisfaction by providing timely and accurate information to nurses/medical staff related to telemetry monitoring as measured by overall physician satisfaction.

  • Contributes to exceptional quality care by identifying, communicating and documenting patient telemetry information by following telemetry monitoring policy and procedure.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School or equivalent

  • Successful completion of basic dysrhythmia class
