Ascension Health Manager, Service Line Population Health and Quality in St. Louis, Missouri

What You Will Do

As a Manager, you r eport to the Associate Vice President of Service Lines with connectivity to the quality and population health teams in Clinical and Network Services

Collaborates with VP, administrative and clinical leadership teams across Ascension Markets and Ministries to measure, develop, and execute national service line initiatives that relate to quality improvement and population health program development and implementation. Serves as a content expert, and coordinates the use of human, analytic, and financial resources to ensure successful implementation of initiatives.


  • Leads mortality review process and collects and presents quality data for each meeting.

  • CV Surgery/ IsoCABG

  • Other mortality reviews as developed

  • Facilitates data management of institute quality criteria scorecards.

  • Supports the development of clinical institutes in various capacities.

  • Leads monthly quality meetings between service lines and quality teams

  • Works with Navion and Ascension Data Science Institute (ADSI) to gather quality data ahead of Service Line/Affinity Group meetings and serves as content expert, along with ADSI.

  • Supports development of bundled payments and other value based care and reimbursement models, including development of clinical guideline best practices.

  • Supports the development and implementation of population health and quality development strategic plan initiatives.

  • Collaborates with marketing and patient education on the creation of quality and population health documentation.

  • Supports development of national service line strategy, service offerings and clinical programs.

  • Performs analytics to support the development of service line strategy, which include but are not limited to:growth, volume, cost, clinical practice, patient experience,and quality.

  • Demonstrates influence and collaboration with ministry markets in development and execution of service line initiatives

  • Provides project/initiative logistical support as necessary to ensure execution of goals.

  • Collaborates with population health leaders to improve health outcomes within the community.

  • Supports Value-based care initiatives which include the development of clinical bundle payments and other innovative payment models.

  • Partners with key departments to develop short and long range strategic plans as it relates to population health and quality

  • Supports ABIDE (Appreciation - Belongingness - Inclusivity - Diversity - Equity) initiatives within the service line.

What You Will Need


  • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required.

Work Experience:

  • 3 years of experience required.

  • 1 year of leadership or management experience required.
