Then the Job Coach position is for you! We are seeking a dynamic, team-oriented and caring individual to join our spirited team. The Job Coach will provide support and assistance to youth participants enrolled in the STL Summer Jobs program related to gaining and/or retaining employment and career advancement. This position requires an organized individual who can efficiently handle several responsibilities simultaneously. Successful Elements:Provide individualized basic skills assessment and identify employment goals based on career interest, ability and personal development considerationsDevelop Individual Services Strategy in conjunction with youthAssist youth in accomplishing the goals of the Individual Service StrategyBuild one-on-one working relationships with youth to assist in mitigating challenges to obtaining and retaining employmentFacilitate educational activities in individual and group settings to remediate basic skills and increase functional educational levelsConduct innovative and engaging workshopsAssist youth in navigating the American Job Centers in an effort to maximize the employment resources in their communityProvide comprehensive case management and follow-up to ensure positive outcomes and goals are met as required by contractProvide referrals to appropriate community service or social service agencies as neededEstablish detailed documentation of all client records to maintain organized database and generate all project reports as neededProvide regular updates to Youth Program CoordinatorOther duties as assignedBring your expertise to EDSI where you will be able to live our values every day: show up, smile and support!Required Experience:Education and Experience Requirements:Bachelor's degree in business, education, human services, human resources or related area is preferredMust have experience working with at-risk youthAbility to work independently as well as function effectively as a teamAbility to prioritize tasks and document visits and contactsExcellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent follow-through when corresponding with partners, staff and customersProficiency in Microsoft Office applicationsA valid driver's license and vehicle are requiredThis is a part-time position working Monday-Friday 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.
