This position is full-time and works approximately 40 hours per week. Local travel to a satellite office may be necessary.

Essential Functions

*POSITION SUMMARY: *

Position is responsible for administering clinical, business and operational affairs with emphasis on analysis and maximization of clinical revenues, implementing effective practices supporting Clinical program development. Position will serve as liaison between the clinical practice and hospital.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Prepares, monitors, analyzes, and manages budgets and promotes cost-effective practices for department.
  2. Plans the utilization of space and facilities for new clinic site and wellness center with requirements of organizational efficiency and available facilities and funds.
  3. Analyzes billing procedures to ensure proper reimbursement of revenue for services.
  4. Coordinates policies and practices with department and Medical School administration.
  5. Develops staffing plans, which include performance standards, recruitment, performance evaluations, promotions, and dismissals.
  6. Assists with the design of integrated systems and processes to support clinical operations.
  7. Prepares clinical data for quarterly projections and reporting, department strategic plan and annual budget processes.
  8. Coordinates clinical reports to providers, proformas, and faculty financial reporting.
  9. Works with Hospital management on OR utilization and Floor, supports continuum of care for WU/BWC Orthopaedic patients.
  10. Member of Orthopaedic Clinical operations team supporting management initiatives.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree; progressive management experience required; 5 to 7 years of experience in an academic health center, hospital, or healthcare industry setting. An equivalent of nine years of education and experience may substitute for a Bachelor’s degree and 5 to 7 years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree.
  • Demonstrated understanding of physician practice operations and business operations.
  • Experience in business development.
  • Experience in budgeting, planning, and financial operations.
  • Experience working with medical staff and an EMR a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills; excellent communication skills; good analytical skills.

Salary Range

The hiring range for this position is $71,323 - $92,788 annually.
