The Wound Care/Infection Prevention Nurse will function as part of the Wound Care program as a consultant to establish standards of care and clinical competence to meet the patients' needs. The Nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care of patients relative to their ostomy care, skin needs, and wound care needs. The Nurse serves as a resource or consultant to patients, physicians, and team members for wounds, ostomies, incontinence, and actual or potential skin breakdown, as well as a resource to hospital personnel in implementing isolation techniques or other infection control measures. Assumes responsibility and accountability for the surveillance of infections and for the hospital infection prevention and control program. In collaboration with hospital leadership, develops implements and evaluates the Infection Control Program.QUALIFICATIONS: Each career at Company represents unique members of our caring ministry's "body", working together for the health and strength of the whole. To achieve our goals, we need all the parts functioning at their best and this requires the specific qualifications that you'll bring with you: Education: Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse, issued by the State Board of Nursing. Licensure: RN. Experience: Four to six years' experience preferred. Certification/Registration: Current Basic Cardiac Life Support. Certified in Wound/Ostomy Care and/or a minimum of two years' experience as a wound care nurse. Qualified Infection Control Practitioner, Certification Board for Infection Control CBIC, preferred.
