Ensures that staffing needs are adequately provided to all nursing units according to budget and patient needs. Assumes administrative responsibility for the hospital environment during evening, night, weekends, and holidays.less thanbr> Ensures effective work organization by planning future needs, prioritizing, planning, and organizing patient care activities and staffing in order to use time and resources effectively and efficiently, taking into account skill mix, patient acuity, admissions/dismissals, and unit staffing guidelines and budget allocations during each shift. Communicates information from assigned committees/meetings with peers. Participates in performance improvement through data collection.less thanbr> Ensures compliance by following regulatory rules, licensing requirements, and hospital policy applying to department operations and personnel. Maintains compliance, mandatory in-service or educational classes and compliance with required hospital annual training.less thanbr> Participates in the delivery of inpatient care which includes, but is not limited to: Admissions, Transfers, Medication Administration, Patient monitoring, assuming patient care for breaks and when primary nurse is required to be off the floor.less thanbr>Qualifications:less thanbr> * Experience: Must have a minimum of 5 years' RN experience in a Hospital setting.less thanbr> * Required Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited school.
