Acadia Healthcare Behavioral Health Associate, Residential Treatment Center (Evenings Needed Immediately) in Springfield, Missouri

Description

The Lakeland Behavioral Health System Residential Treatment Center is growing and adding Behavioral Health Associates who play well with others and would fit in with a very diverse, successful team of Therapists, Managers and Nurses.

We provide residential treatment for children and adolescents from across the country, from Maine to Hawaii and Alaska to Florida. This is a challenging job, yet extremely rewarding when your resident who typically has had previous placement failures, successfully completes our program and leaves with the opportunity to live a healthy, productive life.

To be on our Team, you must meet these requirements:

  • Team player across all disciplines – Teamwork is at the heart of our success

  • Self-motivated, thorough, detail-oriented and able to work independently without constant supervision and follow-up

  • Superb organizational skills – ability to herd cats is a plus

  • Excellent interpersonal skills/Customer Service while maintaining solid professional boundaries

This is what you’ll be doing:

  • Engage residents in activities designed to encourage achievement of treatment goals, covering a variety of topics including social skills, coping skills and anger management.

  • Interact with residents and observe and document behaviors.

  • Participating in daily meetings to give updates.

  • Ensuring resident is supervised and in a safe and comfortable environment.

Must be 21 years old. Must be able to pass drug test and clear criminal background Family Registry investigations and have proof of high school diploma or GED.
