Join us and discover why Modern Healthcare Magazine named us in its "Top 100 Places to Work."Overview: Surgical/Neuro ICU What we do Our Patients -Adult patients age 18 and older -Varying neurologic diagnoses including embolic stroke, hemorrhagic stroke, hematomas, seizures, neuro-muscular diseases, neurologic surgery -Acute level II trauma patients with multi-system involvement -Acute vascular, thoracic, abdominal/GI, ENT, Orthopedic and general surgery patients Our Nurses -Coordinate and prioritize care with multi-disciplinary services -Utilize telemetry, hemodynamic monitoring, central lines, thermoregulation devices, continuous renal replacement therapy, intracranial pressure monitoring,etc. in order to provide specialized care to critically ill patients -Assist physician groups with bedside procedures -Are part of a culture of continuous learning and growth -Are provided an opportunity for professional development through our clinical ladder program -Are empowered to have a voice in their practice through our Unit Based Council Quick Facts -The SICU/NSD ICU is a 16 bed unit. -We have a 2:1 patient to nurse ratio. -Opportunities to cross train into our Rapid Response and Stroke Team -Advanced education provided including ACLS, TNCC, NIHSS -Proudly a Level 1 Stroke Center! M What we have to offer * 12-hr shifts with every third weekend rotation * Fellowship opportunities * Benefits effective day 1 for eligible coworkers 48+ hours/period * Evening/Night/Weekend Incentive Pay * RN to BSN Bridge Program for nurses desiring to pursue a BSN * BSN Incentive for nurses who have completed a BSN program * RN Loan Forgiveness Program ** **RN Loan Forgiveness Program to aide in paying off your student loan debt. Up to $5,000 per year over a period of 4 years $20,000 cap. Must graduate within prior 12-months of employment with Company as a registered nurse to qualify.
