Overviewless thanbr>The PACE Clinic nurse is a member of the Surgical Services Team. The job entails preparing patients and their medical records for their upcoming surgery. The nurse gathers information either via a phone interview or an interview held during a clinic visit. The information gathered includes the patient's medical history, test results, current condition and medications, as well as testing done within the clinic. Vast knowledge of the medical/surgical patient, critical thinking skills, ability to recognize abnormal lab data, basic telemetry and EKG recognition, an understanding of medications and their implications in regard to the surgical patient.
