CareSTL Health Registered Nurse (RN) in Saint Louis, Missouri

CareSTL Health seeks full-timeiRegistered Nurses responsible to the Department Director, and is to be clinically competent; delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation; and effectively interacts with patient, significant others, and other health team members while maintaining standards of professional nursing.iDuties:Directs and supervises less skilled nursing/healthcare personnel, or supervises a particular unit on one shift.Prepares patients for, and assist with, examinations and treatments.Assesses the needs of individuals, families and/or communities, including assessment of individuals' home and/or work environments to identify potential health or safety problems.Instructs individuals, families and other groups on topics such as health education, disease prevention and childbirth, and develop health improvement programs.Prepares rooms, sterilizes instruments, equipment/supplies, and ensures that stock of supplies are maintained.Administers oral, inhalation, intravenous, intramuscular, intradermal and other routes.Conducts specified laboratory tests as directed in CareSTL Health's Policies and Procedures for Standing Orders under the direction of a physician.Directs and coordinates infection control programs, advising and consulting with specified personnel about necessary precautions.Provides or arrange for training/instruction of auxiliary personnel and community stakeholders.Refers patients to specialized health resources or community agencies.Consults with institutions or associations regarding issues and concerns relevant to the practice and the profession of nursing.Works with individuals, groups, and families to plan and implement programs designed to improve the overall health of communities' outcomes.Communicates with all staff, patients, and families with excellent written and verbal skills.iA Successful Candidate:Demonstrated working knowledge of nursing theory, techniques, principles, and practice in order to holistically care for patientsKnowledge of information and techniques in providing excellent patient careKnowledge of administrative and office procedures and systems such as electronic transmission via facsimile and/or internetGood computer skills including the use of office procedures and terminologyGood self-motivational and organizational skillsAbility to maintain confidentialityAbility to work all health center sitesiQualifications:Education:iGraduate of an accredited school of Nursing requiredValid registration as a Registered Nurse in the State of Missouri requiredCurrent AHA Healthcare Provider training (BCLS) requiredCurrent CPR Certification requiredExperience:i1-2 yrs of experience in a Community Health CenterOther:iMust have reliable transportation.For more information, or to apply now, you must go to the website below.
