Assists in resolution of problems with facility, supplies, equipment, personnel and procedures; implements preventive measures. Ensures efficient procedures through appropriate communication and collaboration with Company Medical Center and outside resources; maintains appropriate knowledge bases. Enhances practice reputation through proper customer relations, communication with other medical entities and public, and problem resolution. Performs duties in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Company Service Standards. Responsibilities:Safety/Risk Managementa. Adheres to Medical Center wide safety regulations.b. Assesses safety needs and provides for a safe and clean environment in office.c. Observes changes or unusual occurrences in patient condition and reports them immediately to the appropriate personnel.d. Follows proper policy and procedure guidelines for Infection Control and completion of incident reports.e. Follows confidentiality policy and procedure.f. Complies with patient rights and regulations. Coordination of Servicesa. Oversees billing and collection of patient accounts.b. Assists in investigating problems and complaints relating to patients and staff.c. Triages calls and takes complete and accurate messages according to physician requirements.d. Assists in the recruitment and orientation of new personnel ensures appropriate and efficient staffing.e. Prioritizes appropriately and utilizes good judgment in use of time.f. Utilizes appropriate resources in completing work assignments.g. Participates in QI activities that ensure and enhance office operations and quality of patient care. Complex Aspectsa. Maintains knowledge of, and ensures compliance with OSHA, CLIA and JCAHO, as applicable.b. Files appropriate paperwork and maintains compliance with government regulations, physician credential and licensing regulations, and managed care applications.c. Assists in the development and monitoring of office budget.d. Provides monthly practice reports and miscellaneous computer/analysis reports and spread sheets as requested. Primary Aspectsa. Responsible for general clerical duties, maintaining and ordering supplies and equipment, and other support tasks as needed.b. Obtains patient medical information and records accurately in medical chart and computer system.c. Serves as a resource person.d. General Front Office and Billing Office duties including covering Reception as needed, ICD-9 coding, charge/payment/adj entry, billing, collections, claim appeals, daily close, etc. Communication Managementa.
