Cerner Consumer Advocate in North Kansas City, Missouri
Our Workforce Health Services Organization is looking for a new Consumer Advocate to join the team! As a Consumer Advocate, you will work in a collaborative call center environment to answer consumers’ questions about health benefits and assist them with scheduling appointments. You will facilitate consumer referrals to services and resources, including employee assistance programs, community-based services and mental health support, helping consumers understand how to identify and access care in the most appropriate setting. In addition, you will support consumers’ adherence to their individual care plan, connecting them with the appropriate resources.

High School Diploma or GED
At least 2 year of Medical Terminology work experience
At least 2 years of Clinical or health care work experience
Associate’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience
Certified as a Medical Assistant, Community Health Worker, or Nurses Aide
Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Kansas City metropolitan area
Must be willing to work 50% of the time on a client site in Kansas City, KS and 50% of the time on our campus in Kansas City, MO
Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
