Job Description:

As a Senior Clinical Informaticist you will provide guidance and act as a liaison between the clinical department and IT, leveraging both clinical knowledge and informatics knowledge to provide innovative solutions. Your responsibilities will include identifying opportunities for improvement of clinical services through the use of technology and Cerner best practices as well as assist with protocols, procedures, and quality metrics to support the implementation of new technologies, integration with devices and the EMR. You will also be responsible for coordinating teams to enhance current solutions and implement new solutions, conduct statistical analysis and participate in clinical councils for the purpose of building clinical informatics systems, workflow analysis, and evidence-based content.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Informatics, Nursing, or Information technology

  • Background in healthcare, sciences, or information systems; with emphasis in information in systems or related field (e.g. statistics, mathematics, physics)

  • At least 2 years licensed clinical or health care work experience

  • At least 2 years of Clinical informatics work experience

  • State Board Registered Nurse

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with database tools, application development, and health information standards

  • Clinical informatics work experience


  • Willing to travel up to 20% as needed to affiliated organizations

  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations

  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position

  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned

  • Must live in or be willing to relocate to the Columbia, MO area
