ABOUT THIS DEPARTMENT: 25 Bed Critical Access Hospital; opportunity to really know your patient and address their individual needs, Variety in patient population that you serve. * Strong Teamwork and excellent cohesiveness * Amazing Flexibility with Efficient Scheduling amongst the team * Swing Bed Services offered on the inpatient side RESPONSIBILITIES: * The speech pathologist functions as a member of the healthcare team. The purpose is to provide medically prescribed speech evaluation and therapy services in the hospital and outpatient clinic in accordance with national standards and administrative policies of the hospital. The goal is to restore and or retain function, to prevent or minimize disability following disease, injury, surgery or loss of a body part in order to allow the patient to perform to his/her maximum ability and to be safe in the least restrictive environment. QUALIFICATIONS Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from accredited school required Current Missouri Speech Pathology licensure. Certificate of clinical competence from American Speech-Language-Hearing Association ASHA. * BLS required within 90 days of hire. 1-3 years experience with pediatric and adult populations. Must have familiarity with neurogenic communication disorders and dysphagia. Must be able to perform modified barium swallow studies. Microsoft Office skills and/or other computer skills preferred.
