Lafayette Regional includes all new private rooms with private baths, state-of-the art imaging and testing services, a full range of general and laparoscopic surgeries, wellness programs, and rehabilitation services. With a broad range of services, nearly 20 medical specialties are covered at Lafayette Regional. LAFAYETTE REGIONAL HEALTH CENTER is currently looking for a PRN CT Technologist to cover any shift including weekends. JOB OVERVIEW: Under direct supervision of the Radiology Director, the radiologic technologist will execute diagnostic x-ray and CT scan according to protocols established by the Radiology Department. Uses radiation protective devices, uses appropriate film/screen size and combinations compression paddle. Responsible for obtaining and documenting required pertinent information. Maintains a safe work environment. Assists in all clerical duties. Responsible for holiday coverage and backup call on a rotational basis. Transports patients to and from the department, and/or other services. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology. EXPERIENCE: Diagnostic: Prefer one year of radiography experience in a clinical setting. Cat Scan: Prefer one year of cat scan experience in a clinical setting. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists for Radiography. Shall obtain the minimum CEU required to maintain ARRT certification.
