Registered Nurse (RN) Director of Cardiovascular Services
Currently recruiting a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) Director of Cardiovascular Services to work in Lee's Summit, Missouri in a 80-bed advanced technology facility that is both a Joint Commission Chest Pain Certified Hospital and a Joint Commission Certified Primary Stroke Center. The hospital is also a Level III trauma center with 14 private treatment rooms. Surgical services include bariatrics, orthopedics, colorectal and robotic assisted procedures.
Job Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse (RN) Director of Cardiovascular Services:
Manage all areas to include cath lab, cardiac rehab, cardiovascular imaging and vein clinic.
Oversee all procedures to include heart caths, pacemakers, monitor recorder implants, impella stabilizations to heart and more.
Coordinates and integrates services for the department of Cardiology and with other departments with 24 hour accountability.
Develop and implement policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of services.
Recommend a sufficient number of qualified and competent staff members to provide care and assures the qualifications and competence of those staff members are of the highest quality.
Provides orientation, in-service training, and continuing education of all personnel assigned to the department.
Continuously assesses and improves the department’s performance in selecting outside resources needed by the department.
Works with the cardiologist performing to perform nursing activities related to the department.
Administers medications, monitors patients vital signs/EKG, performs continual assessment during the patient’s stay in the facility.
Documents accurate nursing records and patient data.
Coordinate’s patient teaching and post procedure assessment.
Performs emergency CPR as required.
Assists in in-service education.
Collects and assembles data for the database, outcome analysis and performance improvement.
Qualifications for the Registered Nurse (RN) Director of Cardiovascular Services:
Minimum 2-3 years in cardiovascular services/cath lab. (Prefer someone from a program with full cardiovascular services)
Must have leadership/management experience in cardiovascular services.
Must have cath lab experience.
Must have acute care experience.
Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred.
RN license in Missouri or multi-state license.
ACLS within six months of hire.
Compensation and Benefits for the Registered Nurse (RN) Director of Cardiovascular Services:
Salary: $105k-130k, depending on years of experience.
$20,000 sign on bonus.
Relo may be available on a case by case basis.
