We are currently looking for an ambitious Pain Management Nurse to help us reach our goals. Unlock your potential here! We are seeking a Pain Management Nurse to join our Ambulatory Surgery Center. You will provide nursing care specific to pain management that meets the standards of your profession. You will be responsible for identifying your patient and family's needs. What you will do in this role: * Prepare your patient care area adequately, ensuring availability of necessary pain management equipment and supplies * Assess your patient's level of fear/anxiety and provide comfort and support for your patient and family * Use two patient identifiers to verify your patient prior to all interventions and medications * You will receive and implement all preoperative physician orders * Conduct a complete history, physical and psychological assessment to evaluate your patient prior to any procedure * You will ensure your team is aware of all relevant information before and after procedure * Ensure your patient is cleared for discharge and contacted for follow up Midwest Pain Management Center is an accredited, freestanding surgery center in Lee's Summit, Missouri, and is affiliated with Lee's Summit Medical Center. Established in 2015, the center offers a broad range of pain management procedures. Performing approximately 650 procedures a month in our operating room and four procedure rooms, we provide quality care in a warm and personalized setting. QUALIFICATIONS Qualifications you will need: * Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing * Minimum 2 years of experience in a Pain Management, PACU setting; preferably in an ambulatory surgery center * Additional specialty experience may be required as per facility practices i.e. Pediatric, GI, etc * Active RN license as required by state of employment * Required valid BCLS Certification upon employment. ***online certification not acceptable * ACLS required.
