The Quality Measures Data Abstraction Registered Nurse (QMDA) is responsible for both retrospective and concurrent data collection and management via the medical record. The QMDA RN monitors care for regulatory compliance and evidence-based guidelines in order to provide for optimal care and outcomes. The QMDA RN provides assistance with data collection and abstraction of indicators for national data bases. The QMDA RN will also be responsible for maintaining current knowledge with all updates and changes in requirements, as well as reporting these changes to the appropriate leaders and staff. The QMDA RN will be responsible for timely data collection and submission of the data.

Required Skills

Minimum Requirements

  • BSN required

  • Knowledge of adult education/ teaching

  • Familiar with evidence-based practice and related documentation

  • Computer skills including Cerner Millennium, Microsoft Office (word processing, setting up spreadsheets, )

  • Must possess excellent communication and critical thinking skills

  • Managing conflict under stressful conditions; and ability to work independently in a time oriented
