Under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, assists in the preparation and distribution of medications using appropriate pharmaceutical technique, computer programs and various technical automation equipment. Coordinates education, quality assurance and regulatory compliance related to the preparation of sterile products.

  • Procures and distributes medication orders per physician request, or prearranged work assignment according to established policies, procedures, and protocols.

  • Provides education to staff related to medication preparation, controlled substances, 340b program and VFC program

  • Maintains quality assurance and regulatory compliance for medication preparation areas.

  • Responsible for overseeing assigned procedures involving technician staff

  • Conducts internal pharmacy audits of controlled substance transactions and 340b purchased drug dispenses


  • HS diploma or equivalent and 5-7 years experience

  • This position requires extensive experience as a pharmacy technician in a pediatric hospital with a similar program of patient specific dosing and automation utilization as used at CMH

  • Certified Pharmacy Technician - National

  • One of the following: Registered Pharmacy Technician - MO, Registered Pharmacy Technician - KS required upon hire

  • PHARM TECH REG KS Registered Pharmacy Technician - KS Pharmacy Technician Licensure (or ability to obtain registration) (MO or KS, depending on work location) Required 90 Days

  • PHARM TECH REG KS Registered Pharmacy Technician - KS Pharmacy Technician Licensure (or ability to obtain registration) (MO or KS, depending on work location) Required 90 Days

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $17.86, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.
