Join us and discover why Modern Healthcare Magazine named us in its "Top 100 Places to Work."Overview: The Patient Care Associate PCA works under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor and/or Director, and is responsible for the delivery of efficient, safe patient care in assigned patient care units within the scope of practice as established by the Missouri State Board of Nursing and Company 's Policies and Procedures. Duties to include admission of patients according to hospital policy, gathering of data i.e. glucose monitoring, vital signs, height and weight, and assisting with activities of daily living ADL's to include bathing, dressing and undressing, feeding, positioning, comforting, ambulation, passive range of motion and other activities as necessary. Comfortable in floating to units/departments with varying patient populations and unit set-up is inherent for this department. May perform other assigned duties as required.Qualifications: Education: High school or GED. Certifications: BLS Basic Life Support before seeing patients independently Other: Excellent interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills. Company PCA Patient Care Associate training within 3 months Of hire. Skills required within 90 days of hire: Ability/skill to draw blood, care for immunocompromised patients and renal compromised patients.
