Director, Specialized Services
The Director of Specialized Services will lead and inspire a diverse set of Services teams. The teams will consist, initially, of Architects (Developers) and 3rd Party Solution development resources. The team of Architects provide custom code solution development leveraging Smartsheet’s API and Bridge platform within Consulting engagements. While the third party resources will be a combination of direct contingent labor working within one of the Professional Services delivery or Architect teams, as well as a community of Partner SI’s independently providing solution capabilities.
You will manage the operational and financial aspect of your teams. In addition to managing full business operations, the Director will have responsibility for developing scale strategies to support and enable the departmental vision and growth of our Partner community.
The Director will also strategize on advanced revenue and execution methodologies with an intent to create new revenue streams, and improve traditional revenue paths.
We are looking for a leader with a unique blend of proficiency in technology-based solutions, diverse leadership capabilities, people management skills, and partner development experience.
You will report to our Vice President of Professional Services.
You Will:
Provide leadership in the development of department objectives
Manage departmental budget and authorize expenditures.
Manage department development opportunities
Coordinate development of standardized documentation and resources for reporting performance and recommendations
Lead, scale and develop a team of Developers
Develop and execute strategies for Partner growth
Manage the growth, expansion and operational attainment of contingent labor revenue contribution within the Professional Services delivery teams
Review and monitor all quarterly reporting on practice financial and statistical performance, opportunity analysis and budget vs. actuals performance
Research industry trends and keep the team current on industry changes
Set strategies for the development of standardized coding procedures, code libraries, quality review, etc.
Oversee Architectural scoping, estimating, proposing, SOW creation, and staff allocation
Manage annual performance evaluations of your team
Plan, assign, and direct work; reward and discipline team members; address complaints and resolve problems
Work with the Operations group to implement best practices
Travel to meet with customers

You Have:
4-year undergraduate degree from an accredited university
MBA, or equivalent, from an accredited university
Leadership of code development resources and/or development of partner execution strategies
Excellent client management skills and the ability to work with customers in both pre- and post-sales environments
Team management skills
10+ years working in a software services, or Services leadership capacity
Experience in solutioning, selling, and delivering solutions for F1000 organizations
Experience partnering across departments
Excellent customer engagement and solution visioning skills
Experience translating customer requirements into software solutions
Experience using change management and business process mapping strategies
