National Dentex Technical Support Specialist - Dental Assistants Wanted! in Fenton, Missouri

Join National Dentex - a leading healthcare organization specializing in the dental industry. We offer a full spectrum of specialized products, services, and technologies to address any dental restoration need. Currently, we have 30+ labs throughout the country. Our team is growing, and we are seeking to fill a number of key positions within our organization including this opportunity at NDX Keller in Fenton, MO for a Full-Time Technical Support Specialist with a background and/or education in Dental Assisting.

Technical Support Specialists are responsible for assisting, coordinating, and championing technical issues with our professional clients - Dentists and respective office support - as well as with laboratory leadership, sales, marketing and other internal departments.

Hourly rate of pay is negotiable and will be determined by skills, knowledge, abilities, and experience.

The regular hours for this position are from 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday, and subject to change from time to time.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of the Position:

  • Troubleshoot basic technical issues, including making calls to doctors on turn-around time, shade, poor impressions, and missing items or information

  • Facilitate assigned technical area (Fixed/Removable/Implants/Appliances) technical calls

  • Utilize interactions with doctors and staff as selling opportunity while creating a positive image of the lab

  • Follow all procedures effectively

  • Follow up on all customer complaints to ensure the issues identified are resolved to the customer’s satisfaction

  • Generate relationships with staff members in customer offices, including participation in local, regional and state dental staff organizations

Skills and Abilities Required:

  • High level of oral and written communication skills to effectively deal with internal and external customers

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office

  • Ability to handle multiple projects, meet required deadlines of each and deliver results

  • High degree of familiarity with dental and laboratory procedures, processes and terminology. In depth knowledge of Company products, services, industry practices and sales and marketing techniques

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, ever changing work environment

Minimum Education and Experience Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Preferred: Dental Assisting Certificate

  • Preferred: One (1) to three (3) years experience as a Chair-Side Dental Assistant

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and/or reach

  • Regularly required to exhibit fine motor skills and/or perform repetitive motions using both arms and hands grasping, gripping, pinching, lifting, and carrying. Constantly lifting & carrying 0-10 lbs. Occasionally lifting and carrying 26-50 lbs.

  • Read and interpret prescriptions and other required documentation

  • Ability to effectively communicate technical information

  • Vision capabilities: depth perception, attention to detail, and/or color
