The Clinical Safety Lead will work collaboratively with the Company Quality and Patient Safety Team and community leaders to support the implementation of the patient safety strategies. The Clinical Safety Lead position requires the ability to analyze health care data from conceptualization through presentation of the data, as well as provide educational and consultative support on a variety of patient and culture of safety improvement projects for the Company Health System. This position reports directly to the Director, Patient Safety. An emphasis will be placed on patient safety work including, but not limited to, working collaboratively with Company facilities on: the formation and implementation of action plans and policies to improve patient safety, decreasing harm to patients, and in order to meet regulatory requirements, supporting Company in becoming a High Reliability Organization and focusing on consistent, safe and high quality processes. Coordination and/or leading collaborative groups focused on quality and safety initiatives as appropriate is also part of this position. Proficiency with analytical tools, knowledge of data analysis methodology, use of presentation software, strong communication skills and a strong commitment to and affinity for delivering the highest level of performance on quality metrics is essential for this role. That's why you'll bring to your role the right set of qualifications: * Education: Bachelor's Degree in NursingRequired Licensure/Certification: RN License in the State of Missouri * Required Experience: Three years or more of experience in a quality and safety related field * Required Other: Outstanding communication skills with all levels of management and company personnel oral, written and presentation. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, and work collaboratively with diverse groups of people. * Preferred Education: Master's degree preferred. * Preferred Licensure/Certification: Current Certified Professional in Patient Safety CPPS, or Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality CPHQ or commitment to obtain within 1 year of hire * Preferred Experience: Experience in healthcare setting with a minimum of 3-5 years in bedside care as well as 3-5 years in clinical quality/patient safety field, preferably in a large healthcare setting. * Other Skills and Knowledge: Proficiency in data analysis, decision support, including demonstrated capabilities with Excel techniques is required.
