Day ShiftThe registered professional nurse coordinates, plans, directs and implements the nursing process in the delivery of patient careBegin
Monitors patients for changes in status or indications of conditions such as Sepsis or shock and institute intervention
Prioritizes nursing care for assigned critically/seriously ill patients based on assessment and identified needs
Assesses family adaptation levels and coping skills to determine whether intervention is needed with unexpected changes in physical condition
Plan, organize, direct, utilize nursing process
Medication management
Patient safety
IV therapy skills
Critical thinking skills
Recognition of patient changes
Interpersonal interactions
Customer Service (First Class Care)
Computer system for documentation
Patient Education
Patient Advocacy
Supervise Nurse Aids, Unit Techs and other ancillary staff
Other specified duties as outlined in unit specific competencies
Become
Graduation from a professional nursing program
Registered professional nurse licensed by the state of Missouri and current CPR certification
Certification in Critical Care nursing preferred
One-year nursing experience preferred
Must be able to read, write and speak English
Starr certification required
