In addition to the above responsibilities, the employee may be asked to perform the following as needed:
Safely assist patients with ADLs and answers call lights in a timely manner
Participate in huddle and complete hourly rounding
Provide constant observation which may require sitting for long periods of time, documentation of observations, good interpersonal skills, record patient activity on the close observation form
Assist patient and nursing staff as trained,
Report changes in patients behavior or condition to nursing staff
Become
Within one year of graduation and have covered the skills listed in Nurse Extern Roles and Responsibilities as part of their course work
In good standing with an accredited BSN or ADN program
Must be able to read, write and speak English
