The Boeing Company Mid-Level Occupational Health and Safety Specialist in Berkeley, Missouri
We are seeking a Mid-Level Occupational Health and Safety Specialist (Level 3) to join our Environmental, Health and Safety organization. This position is located in Berkeley, Missouri. This role will support all St. Louis site programs and will lead workplace safety activities.
Develops, implements and monitors occupational heath and safety programs and processes
Develops and provides training and instructions
Evaluates the impact of emerging issues, regulations and legislation to company operations
Develops corrective action plan to respond to internal/external audits and inspections
Plans and conducts health and safety audits
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. A final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
More than 3 years of experience interpreting and writing technical reports
More than 3 years of experience in Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS)
Experience collaborating across functions and organizational levels
Experience providing technical solutions to a wide range of complex problems
Willingness to work/support multiple shifts as necessary
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
More than 3 years of experience managing projects
More than 3 years of experience with safety processes and procedures in a manufacturing environment
Experience with Electrical Safety, Fall Protection, Hazardous Energy, Machining Guarding, and Cranes
Experience with ergonomics and automation/robotics safety standards
Experience with problem solving and making independent decisions
Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
Possess a partnering mentality
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master + 3 years' related work experience, 9 years' related work experience, etc.).
