From heart attack to stroke to gunshot wounds, motor vehicle accidents, or just fractured bones, ED Techs see it all. ED Techs works in collaboration with other members of the healthcare team to coordinate care from admission to discharge, resulting in quality outcomes, patient safety and high patient satisfaction. ABOUT THIS UNIT: * Team work!! The culture that surrounds us in the ER is not only one of great patient care, but the feeling of true support by those who work beside you. Supportive nurse leaders, experienced Charge RNs and exceptional physician support. RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure lobby/reception area are well stocked with supplies; wheelchairs in vestibule, nursing and lobby supplies Monitor status of waiting room patients, updating RN on changes Under the direction of the RN, take vitals, perform EKG's, blood draws, etc. as needed Perform hourly patient rounding, assisting in keeping rooms clean and white boards updated Transport patients as needed to other areas; run labs; run patient trays if needed. Ensure back rooms are stocked as needed, including ENT carts, POU rooms and blanket warmers Other duties as assigned Demonstrates working knowledge of AIDET, utilizing with each patient interaction Regular, reliable attendance is required to ensure the highest level of patient care Follows hospital safety and quality standards and expectations, as it pertains to job performance and patient care Behavior demonstrates understanding and adherence to Belton Regional Medical Center's ICARE values: Perform all daily activities with INTEGRITY Show COMPASSION in all interactions ALWAYS deliver the highest level of patient care and customer satisfaction, every time * Exhibit RESPECT to self and others Work to achieve the highest standards of EXCELLENCE QUALIFICATIONS * High school diploma or GED * Missouri C.N.A or EMT Licensure * Current BLS * 1 year experience preferred * Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, * Possess the ability to work effectively in a team. * Must have working knowledge of computer systems * Effective decision making skills with minimal supervision * Ability to perform in a high-stress environment Since 1984, our mission has been to provide the citizens of southern Jackson County and northern Cass counties access to important health resources.
